One-on-one nutrition coaching for fighters who are sick of feeling flat in training and done with brutal, energy-draining weight cuts. I take care of your food, weight cut, and your fight week, so you can train hard, make weight feeling strong, and finally have more left in the tank than your opponent.
Hear It From Them, Not From Me
Does This Sound Familiar?
You put everything into every session, but you still gas out before your opponent does.
Then fight week arrives and you're starving and drained, hating every single day of it, which is the same reason you fade before your opponent does.
Whether you're inside training or not, you feel tired.
And once the fight is over, you blow right out, undo all your progress, and start the whole miserable cycle over again.
Here's the worst part of all. You can do everything right through the whole camp, and one bad weight cut can throw all the hard work you put in straight in the waste.
When you eat way less to drop weight, your body runs out of the fuel it needs to recover and perform. And this is exactly what can backfire during the last round of your fight where every single detail matters.
Most tracking apps have no idea how hard you train, how often you're in the gym, or where you are during your camp. So you're getting a number that's built for an average person, not a fighter who has to perform at the peak of his abilities.
A plan that was given to you by a regular PT might look great on paper, but it doesn't know your schedule, your weight class, or the foods you actually like. It's not that the plan is bad, it's just that regular PT's don't know the specific details to push your performance to the next level.
There's a real science to cutting weight the right way. Do it wrong, and you can show up foggy, flat, and drained before you even hit the scales, let alone step into the ring.
As soon as you're in, we jump on a call together. I go through your training, weight class, and how you're eating right now, so we can spot exactly where things are going wrong for you specifically.
From there I build a plan that's 12 weeks long minimum. The plan will be based around your goals and the foods you actually enjoy. It doesn't matter, whether you're in a full fight camp, making a weight, or trying to maintain between fights. Everything will be based on what you need.
Next you'll know exactly what supplements to take. This way you get to your peak performance without wasting money on something that does absolutely nothing for your performance.
Your weight cut gets mapped out well ahead of time, so there's no need for starvation and torture in sauna. You make weight feeling strong, and then we refuel you properly for the fight.
As your camp rolls on we stay in close contact, and I adjust your plan whenever things shift. Any time something comes up in between, you just message me on WhatsApp.
This is the biggest one of all. I teach you how to eat between camps without counting calories, so you never blow out between fights and your training finally shows up on fight night.
Your plan is built from scratch around your training, fight timeline, weight class, and the foods you already like to eat. I build it in a way where it fits your life, so you can actually stick to it and see results in your fighting.
Fight week stops being something you hate. I plan your cut around your fight date so you hit the scales feeling good and fight at your peak.
The biggest thing fighters tell me is that their last coach handed them a plan and then vanished. That doesn't happen here. We stay in regular contact, your plan changes as your camp changes, and I'm only a message away whenever you need me.
You'll know how to eat between fights, so you stop ballooning and every new cut is easier than the last one.
If you do the work and don't get results, you don't pay.
Once your spot is confirmed, you book your first call with me right away, so we can get started as soon as possible.
After our initial call, I put your custom nutrition plan together. In this way you'll know exactly what to do from day one.
From there it's check-ins, and full support all the way until the fight night.
I know what it's like to gas out by the end of the first round, feel low on energy all the time, and be moody around everyone. I had no clue how to fuel my training or cut weight without making myself miserable, and my first bad weight cut was so awful that I swore I'd never put myself through it again.
Wanting competing to feel fun again is what pushed me to learn nutrition properly. Once I did, I realised there's so much more to it than just eating less, and from that moment, everything changed. Now I make weight without suffering, my training feels the best it ever has, and I carry a bigger gas tank than whoever I'm fighting.
I'm a qualified, accredited sports nutritionist who's spent over four years working with competitive fighters. And unlike the big social media coaches who pass your programming off to a team of strangers, it's just me, which is exactly why I only take on a few fighters at a time.
"Kyle is absolutely amazing, truly a professional at what he does. His guidance made both of my weight cuts not only manageable but surprisingly smooth. I felt strong, energised, and fully prepared stepping into the ring. Thanks to his support, I won both of my fights in Brisbane and Darwin."
"Already sitting on weight 3 weeks out from his fights. Has never gone past the second round, all finishes. Used to be starving through fight week just to make scale."
"Nutrition used to be a very stressful part of competing in Muay Thai, but since handing that over to Kyle, it has made a huge difference in both my stress levels and performance. I've been working with Kyle for over 4 years now, and I couldn't be happier."
"I used to pass out in the sauna trying to make weight. Since working with Kyle, I haven't had to sweat out a single kilogram leading into a fight."
"I've been working with Kyle for my last 3–4 fights and making weight has been an absolute breeze. Before Kyle, I was always tired and run down, but now I feel properly fueled and full of energy for training. He's very knowledgeable, explains everything in a way that actually makes sense, and never makes you feel silly for asking questions. The food he puts together is unreal, and I finally feel like I'm eating to perform, not just guessing. Couldn't recommend him enough."
"Before working with Kyle I had no idea how to properly fuel for training or cut weight in a safe way. Kyle has gone above and beyond to help improve my energy levels, performance, and weight management while being flexible with the foods I eat each week. I highly recommend Kyle to anyone struggling with their nutrition and performance — the information I have learnt is invaluable!"
Kyle Buggy Nutrition, online nutrition coaching for fighters.
Spots are limited, because I only take on a small number of fighters at once.
Here's the deal. If you do the work and don't get results, you don't pay.
I can say that with a straight face because I've done this for over a hundred fighters, and it works every time you follow my coaching. I'm not worried about giving refunds. What I care about is you actually showing up in your peak condition during the fight night.
The only catch which is not really catch at all is that you have to do the work. Follow the plan, show up to your check-ins, and give it a real go for the first four weeks. If you do all that and you're still not happy, I'll give you your money back, with no questions asked.
I'm based in Australia, but my services are completely online and available worldwide. As long as we can jump on a call and stay in regular contact, it doesn't matter where you are. I've worked with fighters from all over.
Yes, and there's a reason for it. Real change, like improving your relationship with food, learning to cut weight properly, and building sustainable habits, takes longer than a few weeks. I don't take on people who want a quick fix. If you want results that actually carry into your next fight and the one after that, 12 weeks is the starting point, not a long time.
Get in touch sooner rather than later. The more time we have before your fight, the better the outcome. That said, I can work with tight timelines, I just need to be realistic with you about what's achievable. One thing I won't do is promise to drop 10kg in two weeks. That's not coaching, that's damage.
A few reasons. Most general coaches don't specialise in combat sports nutrition. There's a big difference between weight loss for the gym and weight management for someone training twice a day with a fight date. And if your previous coach gave you a plan and that was it, that's not coaching, that's a document. This involves regular contact, adjustments, and proper accountability. The plan changes when your life does.
Not much. Check-ins are short. The plan is designed to fit around your training and normal life, not add a second job. If meal prep and planning aren't your strong suit, we work around that. The goal is something you'll actually stick to.
Doesn't matter. Most of the people I work with are amateur fighters or people competing recreationally. What matters is that you're actually training seriously and you want to perform better. If that's you, this is for you.
That's what the guarantee is for. Follow the programme, show up to the check-ins, do what's asked of you, and if you're not satisfied after 4 weeks, you get your money back. I haven't had to use that yet, but it exists because I'm confident enough in what I do to offer it.
